We Are Not Just A Team,

We’re A Family

Gaelic Dragons is not just any other team… We’ve seen each other grow, becoming better paddlers each race.

We’ve supported each teammate, in and out of the boat. Our bond is getting stronger as we are. We have all shown that from the last weekend’s race.

These photos just prove it….

Captain’s Message

What an amazing weekend! Well done to everyone who participated and supported for the DBS Marina Regatta 2017!

It’s amazing how much improvement we have achieved from the 2 training weekends between SAVA and DBS. This only shows that when we really put our minds into one common goal and work together as one; we will be able to achieve something beyond our expectations. We all know that SAVA and DBS races would be our test grounds for the changes we have implemented for the past couple of months but the results were unexpected. We have surpassed our limits and pushed ourselves in every race! Now that we know we can really do it, let’s continue aiming for progress and break all the limits.

It is also commendable how much love and support we have for this team! With the Gaelics, everything is much more fun! Even semis could feel like finals because of how much support we give each other. Let’s continue having a positive mentality and grow together!

This is just the beginning, we still have a long way to go but we will do it all and face it together as ONE TEAM, as one FAMILY! SDBF here we come! 💪🏽

Please fill this Google form if you plan to attend this weekend’s training, including the Land Training. For Thursday morning paddle, please find the post on Facebook group by Peter and sign up from there.

Please take note that Thursday morning paddle is additional session and not to replace the weekend regular training.

Payment:

For those non-subscription members, Saturday training is S$15. But if you are going only for the land training, it’s S$5.

Tuesday morning is covered for subscription members, and $5 for non-subscriptions. For Thursday morning, everyone has to pay $5 to cover the coaching cost.

Training Etiquette:

Please be on time for training. We need this time before paddling to ensure that the boats are ready, everyone has the right equipment, and that we have done a warm-up before getting on the boat. Please don’t leave it to your teammates to get everything ready for you. We also need this time to organise the line-up properly.

– If you are going to be late, please text Nuala at 9009 6423, or Peter at 8727 2879 before the meeting time.

– If you show up or text us too late and we do not have room on the kitted boat(s), you will not be able to train that day.

– Boat(s) will launch at 3.30pm (Saturday), 10am (Sunday) and 7am(Thursday) SHARP!!!

Bags:

Please bring only what you need to training and try to avoid bringing large bags. Especially on Saturdays, as the bag cage gets very full and we want to make sure that everyone’s bag can be safely locked away.

Water/Water Bottle:

Please bring your water bottles to training to help reduce plastic waste and save our planet! If you don’t have your water bottles yet, please take 2-3 bottles of water from the cageWe will not take the boxes of water in the boat anymore.
