How's the Gaelic Dragons training going?

09/02/10: Training Report Feb 6th

The MR500 races are coming up soon. Gosh, it's mid Feb already! Judging by the enthusiastic turnout and spirited training sessions, it looks like we are gearing up to give a good fight. Are you in, or out?

03/02/10: Training Report Jan 30th

We now have a good mix of experienced and new paddlers, and mixing them in the boats seems to be working well. Add some excellent training provided by our coach, and the results were there for all to see. The new paddlers picked up the technique very quickly and were enjoying themselves in no time!

27/01/10: Training Report 23rd Jan 10

What a day! One boat went for some serious time trials and the other went to the beach to get some quality time with the coach. What an improvement in the newcomers following that. This is gonna be the team to watch this year!

17/01/10: Training Report 16th Jan 10

Wow. This keeps getting better. The coach spent a lot of quality time with eac new paddler and we had quite a few of them today. The result? The boat moved smooth and fast that even got a nod of approval from our usually hard to please long timers. So what are you waiting for? It's some time till the next race and it's a greast opportunity to get some quality one on one training. See ya!

10/01/10: Training Report 9th January

It is a new year - and there were a lot of new faces in our 1st paddle of 2010! We launched 2 almost full boats, picked up Shawn, the coach, and went out to Marina Bay. The green boat that had 7-8 first-time paddlers and 4-5 "almost newbies" started rather uncoordinated ... but within one hour Shawn managed to get everybody to paddle in sync (almost...) and the boat felt like moving real fast by the time we made our way back to the beach. The other boat with the experienced paddlers (however some with a little hangover from a late Friday night) went out for a "fatburning" session: several 2km paddles, with no or only short breaks in-between.
Great to have so many new paddlers on board, just right for the challenges of the new season.
