The Naked Gaelic On Tour

What happens on tour – stays on tour.

You might have heard of the mighty craic that some of the Gaelics had the last weekend, on their tour with some of the AustChams and FDS. Or let’s call them, the Auslics. The Auslics is composed of 21 Gaelics, 6 from AustCham, and 2 from FDS.

Well done to Auslics for making it to the semi finals in nearly all categories for both 200-m and 500-m races, and coming together as a team. Not to mention it’s the first time they were all in a boat together.

But there were parts of the tour that we would say, we’d rather leave in Penang. So is “The Naked Gaelic” who has been seen wearing the British Dragons mascot suit. You won’t know who this Gaelic is, unless you come to the Black Friday or the Gaelic Christmas party. Intrigued? Well here is a photo…. Up to you to guess…

Saturday Regular Training

This weekend’s training will be based on sign ups, same time, 2:45pm @ the cage. If you are going, please indicate on this Facebook event page. If you do not have Facebook account, please message Aoife or Richard.

Black Friday: The Post Tour Edition

Come on down to catch up with those Gaelics who came back from the annual tour in Penang and find out how awesome a tour can be!

Also, this Friday will serve to kick off the one week countdown to our Christmas party and will be a good time to go over the nominations, not just for the main ones, but for the fun awards too!

Gaelic Dragons Annual Awards Night & Christmas Party 2017
             16 December

Time to save the date and rummage through your closet to find that nice party dress or tie you’ve been saving the whole year for this event! 

Where else would it be?! The Penny Black starting at 7 p.m.!

Please do not forgot to send in your nominations to Nuala at nominations@gaelicdragons.org by Friday, December 8. There will be 3 main awards up for grabs and the “fun awards” you will have to name when you send in your nominations. Please check the email sent (only to Gaelic Dragons paid members) by Aoife for the details of the nominations. Message Aoife if you have missed the email. The 3 main awards are the following:

– Best Male Paddler

– Best Female Paddler

– Most Improved Award

We are looking forward to receiving your nominations!
